Privacy Policy

GoldC ("Service," "we," "us"), run by the GoldC Team, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is involved when you use the site, how it is used, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can.

1. Information We Collect

Our service is designed to minimise data collection. The following is involved:

• Emails You Send Us: Your email address and the content of your message if you email us
• Technical Data: When you load the site, our hosting provider handles your IP address, browser type, device information and operating system in order to deliver the pages and keep the site secure. We do not use it to identify you
• Usage Analytics: Aggregate, cookie-less visit statistics through our hosting provider's web analytics: which pages are opened, roughly where visits come from, and how quickly pages load. It does not fingerprint your device and does not follow you to other websites. We cannot identify you from it
• Hosting Logs: Standard request logs kept by our hosting provider, such as the time of a request
• Calculator Inputs: The gold weights, purities, prices and amounts you type are used in your browser only and are not sent to us. Four things are remembered in your own browser: the prices on the gold-to-silver ratio page, the gold rate you type on the bill check and jewellery price pages, your currency choice on the money calculators, and, only if you tick "Remember my figures on this device", your answers on the UK pension salary sacrifice calculator
• Sharing and PDFs: A PDF is made in your browser and saved to your device. If you press a share button, the message you chose is handed to the app you picked (WhatsApp, Telegram, your device's share menu). We do not receive it. A "link to these figures" holds your answers in the part of the address after the # sign, which browsers do not send to any server; anyone you give the link to can see those figures

Important: Calculator inputs and results are processed in your browser and are not transmitted to, stored on, or kept by our servers.

1.1 Gold-to-Silver Ratio Calculator: Specific Notice

The Gold-to-Silver Ratio Calculator works entirely in your browser:

• No Server Transmission: The prices you enter stay on your device and are not sent to any server
• Local Storage Only: Prices are saved in your browser's local storage so they are still there next time (you can clear them any time)
• No IP Lookup: The currency shown by default is chosen from your browser's language and time zone. No IP address lookup is made for this
• No Calculations Logged: Your ratio calculations are not recorded or analysed
• No Profiling: Your interest in precious metals is not profiled or tracked
• Not Verified: We do not check, verify or keep any of the prices you enter

2. How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above for the following purposes:

• To reply to your contact inquiries
• To prevent abuse and unauthorised access to the service
• To improve the service, fix bugs and keep pages fast
• To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
• To maintain and secure our infrastructure

3. Storage and Security

Emails you send us are used only to respond to you. The site is served over HTTPS, so data is encrypted in transit. Collecting very little is our main protection. Even so, no system is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

4. Sharing With Others

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. Information may be handled by or shared with:

• Service Providers: Our hosting and analytics provider and the email provider we use to receive your messages
• Apps You Choose: When you press a share button, the text you chose goes to that app. We do not control what it does with it; see its own privacy policy
• Authorities: When required by law or court order
• Legal Protection: To protect our rights, safety or property

5. Cookies and Local Storage

GoldC itself sets no cookies and has no advertising or analytics cookies. We do not use a tag manager or an advertising network. The only scripts beyond our own are the analytics and security scripts that our hosting provider adds to the pages.

As part of its bot protection, our hosting provider may set a security cookie called cf_clearance. It is set by the provider, helps it tell real visitors from automated traffic, and is not used by GoldC for advertising or to follow you between sites. You can block or delete it in your browser settings; the site works either way.

We also use a small amount of local storage in your own browser, only to remember choices you have made: that you dismissed the privacy notice, your currency choice, the prices you entered on the ratio page, the gold rate you typed on the bill check and jewellery price pages, and, if you ask it to, your answers on the UK pension salary sacrifice calculator (untick "Remember my figures" to delete them). This never leaves your device and is not used to identify you. You can clear it any time in your browser settings; the site then simply forgets those choices.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights over personal data we hold about you, which in practice means emails you have sent us:

• Access: Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erasure: Ask us to delete your personal data (subject to legal obligations)
• Portability: Ask for your data in a portable format
• Restriction and Objection: Ask us to limit, or stop, how we use your data
• Withdrawing Consent: Withdraw any consent you have given, at any time

To use these rights, email us at injectionofquotes@gmail.com with clear details of your request. We will respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires.

7. International Data Transfers

Our hosting provider runs servers in many countries, so information handled for delivering the site may be processed outside the country where you live. We use providers that apply their own safeguards for this.

8. Acknowledgement

We use the limited information described here only to run and secure the site and to reply to you. By using GoldC you acknowledge this Privacy Policy; if you do not agree, please stop using the service. When you email us, you choose to send us that information so that we can reply, and you can ask us to delete it.

9. Retention

Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to respond to you, unless the law requires longer.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that a child has emailed us personal data, we will delete it promptly.

11. Third-Party Links

The site links to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies before giving them personal information.

12. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the date at the top moves only when something was actually changed. Please review it now and then.

• Date of Joining (for service period calculation)
• Current Basic Pay (for salary projection)
